The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) will participate in the Europe Day celebrations on Thursday, 9 May 2023 in Luxembourg.
In this year of European elections, you are cordially invited to celebrate Europe Day with us, at the flagship building of the European Parliament, the Konrad Adenauer building, which opens its doors to the public on May 9, 2024 in Kirchberg in Luxembourg city, European capital and seat of the institutions of the European Union.
Special year, special edition!
Come discover the diversity of Europe by exploring the Democracy Village and its many stands. A program full of events awaits you to commemorate our attachment to the European Union, find out information ahead of the European elections and celebrate together the 20 years of the greatest enlargement in European history!
An additional surprise awaits you this year: not only will you have the unique opportunity to visit the backstage of the European Parliament during this open day, but you will also participate in the opening of the largest interactive information center in the European Union “Europa Experience”.
In 2019, Luxembourg was the first EU member state to declare Europe Day a legal public holiday.
The day will be structured as following:
- The stand will be open to public between 12h00 and 18h00;
- At 14h00 there will be an official ceremony with EU and Luxembourgish representatives, who will visit the stands from 15h to 15:50h;
- The cultural program with music, games, dancing shows and animation for kids will take place from 12h00;
- At 17h15 there will be a closing concert that will bring the day to an end.
