Syngens has developed a powerful AI-based DNA Design Platform to design DNA for biomanufacturing.
The platform allows for DNA design with predictable biological production output, advancing how we approach genetic engineering in microorganisms. Currently, the platform operates within the bacterial domain of life, optimising DNA sequences to enhance production efficiency and sustainability.
This project aims to leverage EuroHPC resources to expand the platform's capabilities to encompass yeast and higher eukaryotes. By training and optimising the platform on massive datasets, the team can extend its application beyond bacteria, thus requiring the exceptional computational power offered by EuroHPC.
This expansion will involve integrating complex datasets from various eukaryotic organisms, refining our AI models to handle the intricacies of eukaryotic gene expression and regulatory networks.
Success in this endeavour will lead to the creation of a Universal DNA Design Platform, capable of designing DNA sequences across different domains of life with high precision.
This will have significant scientific implications, advancing our understanding of genetic regulation in diverse organisms. Industrially, it will enable the production of bio-based products in a wider range of host organisms, enhancing the scalability and efficiency of biomanufacturing processes.
