Europe Day 2025

In celebration of the 9th of May marking 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, which laid the foundations for the European Union, EU institutions open their doors for the public to visit them.

The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking was proud to participate in the Europe Day 2025 celebrations, held on 9 May in two locations: Echternach, Luxembourg, and the Berlaymont Building in Brussels, Belgium.

At both venues, the EuroHPC JU stand attracted a large number of visitors of all ages. Our teams engaged with attendees and provided insights into key strategic topics, including EuroHPC systems, AI Factories, and Quantum Computing. These discussions highlighted the JU’s role in driving Europe’s digital and technological sovereignty.

In Brussels, we were honoured to welcome Ms Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, who visited the EuroHPC JU area and discussed the latest developments in HPC and its applications, with a particular focus on AI Factories.

Meanwhile, in Echternach, His Royal Highness the Duke of Luxembourg visited the EuroHPC JU's stand and expressed a keen interest in the EuroHPC supercomputers, particularly MeluXina, as well as our efforts in the field of quantum computing.

Please see below a selection of photos from both events.
