The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has launched two calls for expression of interest for the selection of hosting entities to host and operate new supercomputers.

Students can now apply to EUMaster4HPC, the first pan-European Master programme in High Performance Computing (HPC). Through online and on-site courses, the best European specialists in HPC are training the next generation of supercomputing experts.

A hosting agreement has been signed between the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking and the National Infrastructures for Research and Technology (GRNET) in Greece where DAEDALUS, a new EuroHPC supercomputer will be located.

Today, the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and CINECA officially inaugurated LEONARDO, the newest EuroHPC pre-exascale supercomputer ranked as the 4th fastest in the world, at the Bologna Technopole in Italy.

All operational petascale EuroHPC systems have ranked once again among the world’s most powerful & energy efficient supercomputers, while LUMI remains one of the greenest supercomputers in the world.
EuroHPC JU supercomputers LUMI and Leonardo ranked 3rd and 4th fastest supercomputers in the world at the latest top500 list released at SC22.

The EuroHPC system Leonardo makes its debut on the TOP500 list of the world’s most powerful supercomputers in fourth place, while LUMI, another EuroHPC system, retains its rank as fastest supercomputer in Europe and the third fastest in the world.
The LEAP call, Leonardo’s early access program, is now open and officially launches the pre-production phase of Leonardo. In this first phase, projects will be selected, with no nationality limits, which will run on Leonardo’s GPU-based Booster.

The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has selected 6 sites across the European Union (EU) to host and operate the first EuroHPC quantum computers: Czechia, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and Poland.
