CALL for the selection of existing Hosting Entities of EuroHPC systems to acquire an Experimental AI-optimised Supercomputing Platform and establishment of AI Factories

The EuroHPC JU aims at selecting an existing hosting entity of an AI-ready EuroHPC supercomputer to establish an associated “AI Factory”.

The EuroHPC JU will amend the existing hosting agreement between the EuroHPC JU and the selected hosting entity to establish a new stable and structured partnership for: 

• the development and operation of an Advanced Experimental AI-optimised Supercomputing Platform – this part of the call is optional,
• and the establishment and operation of the associated “AI Factory”.  

Budget

For the establishment and operation of AI Factories, as well as the development and deployment of advanced experimental AI-optimised supercomputing platforms, the European Union's total contribution is estimated at a maximum of EUR 180 million, stemming from Horizon Europe funding. 

The maximum EU contribution for the establishment and running per ‘AI Factory’ is set at EUR 15 million for a maximum period of 3 years.
