- Training : Structured training paths for AI and HPC, tailored training for different domains, deep collaboration with AI centers, co-working spaces and student facilities to nurture talent, main hub on grounds of Aalto University, together with ELLIS Institute and a network of satellite hubs in partner countries
- Consultation (company focus): Getting started, feasibility analysis, support in applying for large resources, trustworthy AI: regulatory consultation, compliance, sandboxes and ecosystem development
- Focus on competence development: Support both scientific researchers and industrial innovators in adopting AI methods on a large scale.
The LUMI AI Factory is built on the extensive track record and experience of supporting high-impact AI use cases on LUMI supercomputer. Leveraging a comprehensive and accessible service infrastructure serving a state-of-the-art expert support center and hub, LUMI AIF will empower AI startups, SMEs, researchers, and other public and private users to develop innovative European AI models and applications and AI tools and solutions. Services will cater to diverse users, from HPC beginners to experienced AI developers, making a significant investment in talent and competence development. Hosted in Finland, at the CSC – IT Center for Science, LUMI AIF sees broad support and commitment from a consortium including Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Norway, and Poland.
