For users from other EuroHPC participating states without AI Factories, the facility will:
Provide equal access to basic services free of charge for public institutions, academic users, startups, and SMEs. Offer seamless redirection to other AI Factories when capacity is exceeded. Ensure compliance with European regulations while maximising accessibility
The AI Factory Austria (AI:AT) aims to be a one-stop-shop for Austria's AI ecosystem. It will establish a state-of-the-art AI-optimised supercomputer infrastructure and a physical AI hub offering community support, operational assistance, innovation support, and comprehensive training programme. Key stakeholders to benefit from AI:AT are businesses, especially startups and small and medium enterprises, public administration, and the research community.
The AI Factory Austria (AI:AT) consortium is led by Advanced Computing Austria GmbH (ACA) and the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and includes TU Wien, University of Vienna, BOKU University, University of Innsbruck, TU Graz, Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), the business incubator INiTS, and the EODC Earth Observation Data Centre for Water Resources Monitoring .
