Slovenia-Maribor: Supercomputer
The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and the supercomputing center IZUM (Institute of Information Science) are launching a call for tender for the procurement of a petascale supercomputer, capable of executing more than 5 Petaflops (5 million billion calculations per second). The procurement includes the purchase, supply and maintenance of a new petascale supercomputer, co-owned by the EuroHPC JU and located in Slovenia. The call aims to boost the supercomputing capacity of IZUM by providing a modern infrastructure for computing, data processing, analysis and Artificial Intelligence with fast network connectivity to other centers in Slovenia and Europe. -

Advanced pilots towards the European exascale supercomputers & Pilot on quantum simulator
The objective of the first topic of the call, EuroHPC-2020-01-a, is to demonstrate the integration of European technology building blocks developed for example in the European Processor Initiative (EPI) and in previously funded EU Research & Innovation (R&I) actions into fully integrated pilot supercomputing systems aiming at exascale performance (supercomputers able to perform one trillion (1018) operations per second). The second topic, EuroHPC-2020-01-b, aims at deploying a quantum simulation infrastructure based on European technology, accessible to the European scientific and industrial user community. -

Czechia-Ostrava: Supercomputer
The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center have launched a call for tender for the procurement of a petascale supercomputer, capable of executing more than 8 Petaflops (8 million billion calculations per second). This call aims at modernising the facilities and equipment of the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center in the Czech Republic through the purchase of a modern petascale supercomputer system. The subject matter of the contract is a comprehensive system for complex calculations, i.e. set of computing, storage, network and other systems and software solution. -
