Playground Access to AI factories

Important Update :

• Open until 25 August 2025 - evaluations completed until end August 2025
• Closed until mid-September when it will be reopened in the new system

During the transition period, each Access call will be differently impacted, please read this page with more detailed information.

This access call is intended: 

• For Industry users
• For New or entry level users
• To provide Access within 2 working days

Playground provides quick access to European SMEs and startups. This access mode is ideal for new users or those with smaller computational needs.  Guidance is provided by the hosting AI Factory (AIF). 

Users can apply any time. Allocations are granted for a period of 1, 2, or 3 months. Resources can be requested on a single system only.

Applications will be processed in the order they are received.  There is no competitive selection process and access can be granted within two working days. 

Applicants need to submit a short application explaining the relevance of their proposal (templates are provided). Proposals are evaluated on first-come, first-served basis. The process comprises eligibility and technical assessment. 

Upon successfully passing the above steps, applications will be granted access to the requested system.

Academia and public sector users should target the AI for Science and Collaborative EU projects access mode.

The supercomputer systems and their services provided for the Playground Access call by EuroHPC Hosting Entities are:

Please note that the availability of certain partitions may be limited at the time of your application due to high demand. If the targeted partition is unavailable on the online form, we recommend selecting from those that are accessible.
