Description
The LUMI-AI supercomputer will be installed and hosted by the CSC, the Finnish IT Centre for Science, located in Kajaani (Finland).
LUMI-AI will enable next-generation AI workflows, characterised by challenging training data that is large, dynamic, and often confidential.
The EuroHPC JU will conclude one contract with the successful tenderer in order to acquire, deliver, install and maintain this AI-optimised supercomputer. Therefore, the prospective contractors should have proven experience of acquiring, delivering, installing and maintaining supercomputers in similar environments as the ones required in this procurement procedure.
The solutions to be procured are expected to outperform existing solutions regarding the following aspects:
- Performance/TCO;
- Usability for AI model and application development, testing, and deployment;
- Versatility in adapting to new AI use-cases which are transforming the supercomputing landscape;
- Security, including data security and the provision of Secure Processing Environments;
- Reliability for industry workloads;
- Energy efficiency.
The estimated total value for the call is EUR 387 800 000. The deadline for submission of tenders is set for 8 July 2025, 16:00 CET.
